Two reasons. First and foremost, there are many young children that play around the lake. The children often just dart across the road without looking. Second, slower speeds reduce the amount of repairs the road needs and that cuts down costs. PLEASE, go SLOW!
The Annual Block Party is held the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. All residents of Wynooska Road, friends, family and - of course - The Olsommers are invited to this day-long, pot-luck picnic.
Lake Wynooska does not have a formal homeowners´s association. There is a road fund that is used to plow, cinder and repair the road. The fund is replenished by contributions from Wynooska Road homeowners. The current contribution is $200 per year.
